Our new puppy was in the front seat, asleep on the beach towel we have for emergencies in our car.
The almond milk cappuccino was piping hot. The first morning I didn’t have to rush or be responsible for my daughter totally in over 5 weeks. It was intense freedom.
I was listening to my music on shuffle and the tears started to flow.
What is it that you really want me to do on this earth?
Where does my soul light up?
What am I willing / wanting to hitch my wagon to?
I just got back from Fresh Conference, and it seems to always shake me at the core. Something about being around amazing women, with intention, that helps to sift through what is real, what has meaning, and what is important.
There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes of running your own business; time, money and effort.
There’s a lot of rhetoric and conversations about how to build your brand, to uplevel your skills, to grow your following.
Which is fine and has its place.
It’s just not me.
I have come to a place in my life where the thought of fame-seeking and brand awareness WITHOUT purpose is nauseating and meaningless to me.
I don’t care about money beyond what we have.
I don’t care about billboards, being#1 or being known.
What I know I care about is giving voice to the voiceless, using whatever power/presence I have to mobilise change and to unearth as much good as I can.
The tears came because it’s yet another major pivot point for me – and it’s scary.
But the tears also came, because every vision I have had for myself is the one I am starting to really see happening.
